Invisalign for Teens is a modern orthodontic treatment specifically designed to help teenagers straighten their teeth using clear braces. Invisalign treatment involves transparent, custom-made, clear aligners. The aligners are removable; you can take them out for up to four hours daily. The series of clear aligners gradually shift the teeth to their correct position, and each set is swapped every 1 – 2 weeks. Invisalign Teen include devices that help guide the new teeth' growth, including the canine, premolars, and second molars, to align them.
Once your Invisalign Provider confirms your eligibility, they will gather photos, X-rays, and either digital scans or a dental impression of your teeth. These records are then used to develop your personalised ClinCheck® 3D treatment plan.
Your custom-made aligners will be prepared and delivered to your provider’s office. You'll receive a series of aligners to wear daily, with changes at home typically every 1-2 weeks.
You’ll visit your provider approximately every 6-8 weeks to check progress and pick up your next set of aligners. After completing the treatment, retainers will be necessary to keep your new smile intact
During the initial consultation, the orthodontist will take images of your teen's smile with an iTero scanner. This scanner takes about 6,000 images per second to show how the teeth will look during each stage of treatment and the expected result.
You can make alterations and suggestions at this stage to improve the overall smile appearance.
The cost of Invisalign treatment depends on the number of aligners and trays needed to complete the treatment. Regardless of the case's complexity, Invisalign aligners can straighten the teeth faster than braces, and both options have a similar cost.
